Enrollment and Attendance FAQs
Who is eligible to attend Insight School of Oregon –Painted Hills (ISOR-PH)?
Any student in grades 7–12 who resides in Oregon is eligible for full-time enrollment.
What does it cost to attend ISOR-PH?
Because ISOR-PH is a public school program, it is publicly funded. ISOR-PH provides an Oregon-certified teacher and all instructional materials for the program. However, students and families will be responsible for providing some consumable materials (such as printer ink and paper).
What is the attendance policy?
ISOR-PH works with families toward a positive attendance record to meet their student's required number of 180 instructional days.
Can I take a vacation during the school year?
The school calendar includes school "holidays" or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar.
What if my Student is denied enrollment?
Oregon Virtual Schools 3% Enrollment Denial.
The state of Oregon law (OAR 581-026-0310) states that a student may be denied enrollment into a virtual school if more than 3% of a district’s student population is currently enrolled in an online school. If a family is notified by their local district that their student’s enrollment has been denied the family may request an appeal.
