Enrollment and Attendance FAQs

Who is eligible to attend Insight School of Oregon–Painted Hills (ISOR-PH)?

Any student in grades 7–12 who resides in Oregon is eligible for full-time enrollment.

What does it cost to attend ISOR-PH?

ISOR-PH is a public school program, so there is no tuition. We provide Oregon-licensed teachers and instructional materials. Eligible families receive a loaner computer and printer. Students and families will be responsible for providing some common household materials (such as printer ink and paper). Our enrollment consultants can help address your technological and computer questions and needs.

How many of my children can I enroll in ISOR-PH?

What is the attendance policy?

Can our family take a vacation during the school year?

What if my child is denied enrollment?

The state of Oregon law (OAR 581-026-0310) states that a student may be denied enrollment into a virtual school if more than 3 percent of a district’s student population is currently enrolled in an online school.

If you are notified by your local district that your student’s enrollment has been denied, please reach out to our school immediately.  There is a non-profit organization that is interested in helping families exercise their rights under state law and appeal a denial.  They know the state law and may be able to help you.  Please notify us immediately after you receive a denial notice as a parent must submit an appeal within ten (10) calendar days.  We will connect you with outside help from this non-profit.
